New Evans Halshaw store to create 53 jobs

Evans Halshaw, the UK’s largest used car retailer, is pleased to announce that the Exeter branch of its new used car brand, Car Store, will be relaunching in late December, creating 53 jobs.

As the next step in an exciting growth plan for the business, Car Store Exeter is a key part of 40 new stores announced last year by Evans Halshaw, designed to transform the customer experience, and still has a number of job vacancies left to fill.

The Evans Halshaw Car Store – located at Cofton Road, Marsh Barton – currently serves purely as a vehicle collection location, however from December will launch as a full Car Store site due to its success. Purpose-built, the state-of-the-art new dealership will offer over 200 used cars on site, with access to a further 20,000 as part of its Move Me Closer scheme.

In addition to car sales and the brand’s Sell Your Car service, the new store will also provide a full catalogue of servicing, MOT and bodyshop services, which will take place at a new, custom-built workshop on nearby Crompton Road. Fitted with cutting-edge equipment, the workshop will have the capacity to service multiple vehicles at one time and offer customers industry leading bodyshop solutions.

In order to deliver the new workshop services to customers, Car Store Exeter is recruiting for a number of Vehicle Technicians, across various skill sets and levels of experience.
