Stagecoach SW sponsors TBirds Netball Club

Stagecoach South West has announced its sponsorship of an award-winning community netball club, which has teams across the region.

The transport operator is the headline sponsor for the CASC Teignmouth Thunderbirds (TBirds) Netball Club for the 2016/17 season. Stagecoach South West will be supporting the Exeter and Torbay teams, who regularly play in the Exeter Netball League and the adult and junior Torbay Leagues. 

The community grass roots club has 50 brand new custom uniform dresses for the season, which proudly display Stagecoach South West’s logo.

Angela Rimmer, Founder and Head Coach of TBirds, said: “We are delighted to announce that Stagecoach South West are the headline sponsor for this season. Netball is very popular in the South West region and teams at all levels are recognised and rewarded for their achievements. The TBirds have won awards based on their impact in the local community encouraging women back to netball.”

“We are a constituted not-for-profit sports club and so we rely on our sponsors to keep the club running. It’s companies like Stagecoach that allow us to carry on providing access to a fun sport within our local community.”  

The TBirds club ethos is to have fun, meet friends, get fit and play netball.
