Appeal after man badly injured in hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured in the road in Bradninch.

At around 11.30pm on Saturday 11 June 2016 police were informed by ambulance of an apparent hit and run road traffic collision on West End Road.

A 53-year-old local man was found in the road with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The type of vehicle involved remains unknown.

He is described as being in a stable condition at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

They would also like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of  the vehicle involved.
