ZERO celebrates £40k innovation award
Heating solutions company, ZERO, is celebrating winning a £40,000 innovation award at the Shell Springboard Award regional finals held on 16 February.
The company’s soon-to-be-launched ‘Minibems’ heat network control technology was recognised as an exciting innovation that is able to deliver significant reductions in carbon emissions.
One of six regional finalists selected from over 120 applicants, ZERO now stands to win a further £110,000 at the national Shell Springboard Award final in March.
The culmination of three years of research and development, ZERO will use the £40,000 grant to launch its award-winning complex heat network control to the UK market over the coming months.
ZERO’s Managing Director, Finian Parrick, has been leading the Minibems innovation project from the start, and explains what being a Shell Springboard regional finalist means to the company:
“After years of intense product development, ZERO is very proud to have achieved this award. It means a huge amount to us to have our innovative Minibems heating control and monitoring system recognised in this way.
“The £40,000 Shell Springboard award will enable us to launch Minibems to the UK market over the coming months. We welcome anyone interested in discussing the product – and the carbon savings it can deliver - to contact us on 01392 353 000.
