Vigil held in memory of Delhi gangrape victim

The right-wing BJP party of India held a vigil for the 23-year-old victim of the Delhi gangrape that has rocked India this last fortnight.

The vigil was held on the iconic M.G Road (Mahatma Gandhi Road) in central Bangalore during the evening.

Protests have continued across India with India Gate in Delhi the main focus.

Meanwhile, the Indian government has given a compensation figure to the victims family and offered a job to one member of her family. (NewsPoint)
