Leading South West law firm, Stephens Scown LLP, solicitors acting for Wolf Minerals on the Hemerdon tungsten and tin mining project near Plymouth, has agreed terms on the Company’s behalf for the last remaining residential property purchase required under planning permissions granted to Wolf.

Sally Norcross Webb, client partner for Wolf Minerals, said: “We are delighted to have helped Wolf Minerals achieve this important milestone, which enables it to proceed to the development and production phases of the mine. This is the third largest global tungsten deposit, containing Measured, Indicated and Inferred mineral resources of 401.4 Million tonnes, and will mean at least 200 new jobs in the Plymouth area.”

The specialist mining and minerals team at Stephens Scown (Sally Norcross Webb, Michael Beadel, Philip Mogridge, Ian Lamond, Christian Wilson, Chris Tofts, Sarah Jane Williams) have also been instrumental over recent years in Wolf Minerals’ achievements: Minerals Lease, Certificate of Title, Financial Provision and Bonding to secure the restoration of the mine site, planning, permitting, and negotiations with key stakeholders including property owners, Devon County Council, and the Environment Agency.

Stephens Scown has over 40 partners and 230 staff across its offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell. For more information visit www.stephens-scown.co.uk
