Foot Anstey advises on merger of ERS Medical with E-zec Medical Transport Services

National law firm, Foot Anstey LLP, has advised the management team at Leeds-headquartered ERS Transition, trading as ERS Medical, on its acquisition by Surrey-based E-zec Medical Transport Services, which is a portfolio company of Cairngorm Capital.

The merger of these two providers of non-emergency patient transport businesses means that the combined group now has more than 2,500 employees and a turnover of £100M. The new entity will serve more than 50 commissioning bodies from 55 operational sites located across the country.

Britain’s busiest station, London Waterloo, is trialling Artificial Intelligence that provides train information through British Sign Language (BSL).

Travellers who are deaf or have hearing loss often struggle to hear station announcements and communicate with staff, which can make it harder to plan and carry out journeys.

Survivors of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria will be receiving vital emergency supplies thanks to a £60,000 grant from the Freemasons to the British Red Cross, UK for UNHCR and UNICEF who are leading the relief effort on the ground.

Hundreds of thousands of trees will be planted in communities across England after two major funding schemes reopened for applications today.
