Public Health England (PHE) is reminding teenagers and young people to make sure they are vaccinated against measles after new cases were reported across England.

A significant number of cases, linked to music festivals and other large public events, have been reported since June. This follows an increase in measles over the year with 234 cases confirmed between January and June, compared with 54 for the same period last year. There have been 36 suspected measles cases reported in people who attended events in June and July.

Rogue traders jailed for ripping off victims

Two rogue traders who conned vulnerable pensioners out of almost £100,000 have been jailed.

Following a joint investigation by Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards and Devon and Somerset Trading Standards, Hughie Fury, 33, of Gospel Oak Lane, Pathlow and Clayton Foster, 33 of Pathlow Park, Pathlow, Warwickshire were both jailed for two years at Warwick Crown Court.

The pair worked together to defraud elderly residents out of £96,200. Their victims will receive a full refund.

1,000 Office workers from Exeter have recently taken part in an EU referendum survey and the city was named as the most pro-brexit city on the list.

Office search engine FreeOfficeFinder asked 10,000 office workers across the country whether they wish to leave the EU, remain in the EU or whether they were unsure about it . 20,000 renters put at risk of eviction in past year

Alarming new figures from housing charity Shelter have revealed more than 8,600 renting households in the South West were put at risk of losing their home in the past year –equivalent to 20,429 renters.

The new analysis of statistics from the Ministry of Justice, showed that 1 in every 86 rented homes in the South West were at risk of eviction.

Three out of four prisoners believe burglars who target homes where children live should receive tougher sentences, according to a new report.

In a revealing survey of Britain's prison population, 73% of convicts said they thought judges are too lenient on burglars, especially when their victims include the young and vulnerable.
