When allergy labelling is incorrect, or if there is another food allergy risk, the food product has to be withdrawn or recalled to protect consumers.

The following have been withdrawn in the past 7 days:

Wednesday 18 June 2014 Blackfriars Bakery is withdrawing two varieties of flapjack because they may contain milk, which is not mentioned on the labels. This makes the products a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic or has an intolerance to milk or its constituents. Tesco Complete Chicken Caesar Salad withdrawn

Monday 16 June 2014 Tesco has withdrawn its own-brand Complete Chicken Caesar Salad because the product contains fish (anchovies). This is not mentioned on the label making the product a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic to fish. Dilly & Wolf Nutsters snacks recalled

Thursday 12 June 2014 Dilly & Wolf has recalled two snack products because the products may contain peanuts due to cross contamination during the manufacture of one of the ingredients. This is not mentioned on the label making the product a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic to peanuts. Marybake Muffins recall

Thursday 12 June 2014 Fulfil UK is recalling packs of Marybake Muffins with a 'best before' date that is before 16 August 2014 because there is no clear mention of milk on the product label. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic or intolerant to milk or its constituents.
