Exeter School gives thanks on Founders' Day

Exeter School’s annual Founders’ Day Service was held at Exeter Cathedral on Wednesday 27 March.

The whole school, comprising over 920 boys and girls aged 7-18, staff and governors, gathered to give thanks to its founders in a beautiful service.

The Dean of Exeter, the Very Reverend Jonathan Greener, reflected on dealing with weakness and how it can become a strength.

The service was conducted by the School Chaplain, Revd Tom Carson.

Pupils at Exeter Cathedral School were delighted to welcome the Gruffalo to unveil their new Pre-Prep Library.

Nursery and Pre-Prep pupils (aged 3 to 7) have been looking forward to their new library for several weeks. On the day of the opening, the children were thrilled to find the Gruffalo sitting in the library, ready to read a few books and enjoy a conversation about his unusual eating habits!

Exeter School changing lives with its 18th annual concert for WaterAid

For the 18th year running and with support from South West Water and On Tap Water, the talented young musicians and singers from Exeter School will perform a special concert to raise funds for international charity WaterAid. All proceeds from the concert, which takes place at St Michael's Church, Heavitree, from 7:30pm on Wednesday 1 May, will go directly to WaterAid projects in countries like Zambia, helping some of the country's poorest communities gain access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. STC Expeditions, a local provider of ethical school expeditions, has joined a national movement to help promote the concept of ethical careers to schools across the south west and beyond.

State-of-the-art residence tops out in Exeter

Exeter School pupils help turn tide on litter

Pupils from Exeter School have been busy tackling the problem of marine litter on our beaches by taking part in a Beach Clean event organised by STC Expeditions – an ethical school expedition company based in Exeter.

The Beach Clean took place on Saturday 9th March 2019 and was organised as part of the Marine Conservation Society’s (MCS) national Beachwatch project. The data will help MCS identify the main sources of litter at Dawlish Warren and keep the issue of the dangers of marine litter high on the local agenda.

Pupils at Exeter Junior School are delighted to announce that a piece of their collaborative artwork will on display in The National Gallery's 'Take One Picture' Exhibition. Year 6 pupils worked with glass artist Michelle Keay to create a beautiful double helix glass structure of DNA. Exeter School is looking forward to performing its annual Choral Society concert in Exeter Cathedral on Thursday 21 March, which this year will feature music by Handel and Poulenc.
