Two Exeter School Young Enterprise teams took part in the Devon Finals Competition that was held at the Met Office on Wednesday 27 April with one team winning two out of three awards.

The successful team now goes on to present Devon in the West of England round.

All teams had to set up a trade stand, undergo an interview process from a group of judges and make a presentation to other schools, judges and guests about their 8 month journey on the Young Enterprise Programme.

They had also, prior to the event, submitted a company report which detailed the business, and included their financial accounts that they had prepared.

Representing County Roots, Meredith Marsh, Zachary Marsh, Rosie Smith, Anna Johannson, Billy Cockram, Will Thurgood, Ben Smith and Christoph von Wentzel dealt with a rigorous round of questioning and delivered highly polished, professional presentations.

They were awarded the prize for 'Best Trade Stand', and 'Best Overall Business', and will now represent Devon in the West of England Round of the Competition, to be held in Gloucester on 14 June.

Fractured, made up of Sam Scougall-Knight, Emily Rix, Henry Wright and Severin Baker, gave a superb presentation and were runners-up in the Best Presentation category.

We congratulate both teams and wish County Roots the best of luck in the next round.
