Exeter City have completed the loan signing of Ryan Harley from Swindon Town. Harley originally moved to St James Park from Weston-super-Mare in November 2007 and went on to play 144 times in City colours in his first spell, finding the net on 32 occasions. Exeter Chiefs prop Alex Brown will go straight into the Plymouth Albion squad ahead of their Championship trip to Leeds on Friday night.

Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter today confirmed the 25-year-old forward has teamed up with Albion after the two clubs agreed a loan deal for the player.

It will be Brown’s second spell on loan at the Brickfields having previously featured for the club during the 2012/13 season when Nat Saumi was in charge.

A new report says that the Rugby World Cup 2015 will generate £39 million of economic activity for Exeter.

The report, from England Rugby 2015, says that the Tournament is set to deliver nearly £1 billion into the UK economy.

Reacting to the report, Cllr Rosie Denham, Exeter City Council's Lead Councillor for Economy and Culture, said: "The latest figures for Exeter are very encouraging. In ten months time the eyes of the world will be on Exeter and we are very optimistic that the Rugby World Cup will bring thousands of extra people into the city from home and abroad....

Get your hands on a RWC2015 ball

A limited edition set of official Rugby World Cup 2015 Exeter Host City Rugby balls have today gone on sale.

The Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership is making 250 Rugby balls available, with a set of 12 being donated to local charities, and the rest being sold to raise funds to help promote Exeter to encourage tourism in the build up to next year’s Tournament.

Once the balls, priced at £25 each, are sold, no more will be available to buy.
