Exeter Sea Bees launch free youth baseball open day

Young people across Exeter are being invited to discover America's favourite pastime this weekend as the newly formed Exeter Sea Bees hold a free open day for aspiring baseball players.

Taking place on Saturday, July 18, the event marks the launch of the club's new youth programme, which is open to children entering Year 7 and above.

The team takes its name from the famous US Navy Seabees, who were based at Countess Wear during the Second World War and represented Europe in the 1945 European Baseball Championships, with matches played at Exeter City's St James Park....

The 2022/23 season of the Pokémon Futsal Youth Cup, in partnership with England Football is successfully underway, with Devon crowning eight winners of their county finals competition.

A new Exwick sports pavilion and 3G sports pitch will be built by Exeter College.

It involves demolishing changing rooms and erecting a new sports pavilion along with an ‘all-weather’ 3G pitch, at the site of an existing rugby pitch.

Exeter City Football Club (ECFC) and Exeter City Council’s innovative recycling scheme, Cans4City, has reached a major milestone.

The scheme, which encourages Exeter football fans to recycle used drink cans whilst also raising money for charity, has now raised more than £10,000 with all funds raised going towards projects and initiatives run both by the football club and its partner charity Exeter City Community Trust (ECCT).
