Top British pro cycling team Team UK Youth is determined to make its mark in this year’s 10th anniversary Tour of Britain, targeting success at its 'home stage' in Devon.

The Devon Stage (Stage Six), hosted by Devon County Council, will see the race’s biggest ever field of 114 riders head from sea to summit on Friday 20 September. The 85 mile (137 km) route will start at Sidmouth on the Jurassic Coast and finish at Haytor in Dartmoor National Park, the first ever summit finish in the history of the race.

Victor Dartnall unveiled a strong team of horses, including plenty of exciting future prospects, for the forthcoming winter jump racing season at his annual owners' day on Sunday.

Dartnall endured a torrid time after the outbreak of equine herpes virus at his Barnstaple yard last October that resulted in the death of several horses. But wins from both Ambion Wood and Seebright in the spring plus several decent placed horses signalled that the yard is back on song, and about 35 horses will represent the trainer this autumn and winter.

Exeter City's Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Guy Wolfenden as its new Chief Executive Officer. Guy will begin work with the Grecians on 1 October 2013.

Guy joins the Club from Warwickshire County Cricket Club where he has been in charge of commercial operations, match days and marketing operations. He previously fulfilled a similar role with Somerset County Cricket Club.
