The billionaire owners of English Premier League club Bournemouth have agreed a deal for the club, subject to the membership’s approval at an extraordinary general meeting on May 7.

If the deal is ratified, Exeter Chiefs will become the latest Premiership team alongside Newcastle and Bath to secure major new investment.

Glasgow Warriors 20 Exeter Chiefs 16

Mark Stevens reporting from Scotstoun Stadium

In what is sure to be a competitive Pool Two of this season’s Heineken Cup, the importance of gaining reward – home and away – was illustrated in all its glory this weekend.

Toulon were toppled in the Welsh capital by Cardiff Blues on Saturday; while north of the border Exeter Chiefs – conquerors of the Welsh region seven days earlier – were undone by Glasgow Warriors.

With one win apiece, there is little to choose between these quartet of clubs after just two rounds of...

Last season, Aviva Premiership supporters from all 12 clubs voted Sandy Park as the best match-day experience, whilst in 2015 the stadium will also play host to three Rugby World Cup games.

Off the field, the venue continues to be a popular attraction for businesses, charities and...

The New York Times have praised the Exeter Chiefs in a glowing article crediting the Heineken Cup side as 'the first outsider in a generation to truly crack the closed circle at the top of the English game".

Following the Chiefs' clinical performance against Cardiff last weekend and today's narrow defeat to Glasgow, they currently sit at the top of Pool 2 and are poised to capitalise on their second shot at success in Europe. The New York Times described Exeter's performance against their Welsh opponents last Sunday as the "result of the round".

Following City’s 4-0 victory away in Scunthorpe, Exeter manager Paul Tisdale was pleased with the result and the performance of his team as the Grecians went level on points with the division’s leaders Chesterfield.

He also conceded that the result didn’t reflect well on the home side, who had attacked with intent and purpose throughout the fixture.

Resolute defending was a must from Tis’s men, and a manful defensive display ensured the Grecians came away with no additional goals in the ‘conceded’ column in the Sky Bet League 2 table.

It was that defensive solidity...

Gareth Steenson says Exeter Chiefs travel to Glasgow this weekend with "nothing to fear" as they look to push forward in this season's Heineken Cup campaign. Having kicked off life in Pool 2 with an impressive 44-29 home win over Cardiff Blues last weekend, fly-half Steenson will be hoping for a similar outcome when the Devon club travel north of the border this Sunday (2pm). In a dazzling first half against the star-studded Blues, Rob Baxter's side blew away their rivals with a five-try blast that saw them storm into a 36-3 lead at the interval.
