Slade said: “It was an easy decision to make to re-sign. To be able to run out at Sandy Park and continue to call this place home for a few more years is brilliant. I feel very privileged and lucky to have played so many...

In theory, almost any football manager in the world should want the job of Tottenham Hotspur manager. It’s a Premier League club with a rich history, it’s in London, and the side contains some world-class players. Spurs are generally expected to compete for top honours even if, for whatever reason, they never manage to win any.

In practice, Daniel Levy and the rest of the Spurs hierarchy appear to be having a nightmare trying to find a new manager to replace Antonio Conte, who was driven entirely mad by the club’s inexplicable failures before “mutually agreeing” to vacate his...

Exeter City: What Next for Sam Nombe?

Exeter easily clinched survival this season despite Matt Taylor’s mid-season exit. The Grecians finished mid-table and rarely looked in danger of dropping back into the fourth tier, however, it looks likely to be a significant few months for the club with Gary Caldwell overseeing his first summer transfer window and with several key players likely to depart.

Goalkeeper Jamal Blackman looks set to leave the club alongside Josh Key, Jonathan Grounds and Archie Collins. Veteran Kevin McDonald is also out of contract this summer and it remains to be seen whether the club will offer...

Authored by Simon Wells
