Exeter Chiefs can today confirm the official plans for today’s Open Top bus journey for the squad following their recent LV= Cup triumph over Northampton Saints.

At the kind request of the Lord Mayor Cllr Rachel Lyons and Exeter City Council, the Chiefs will parade the LV= Cup through the city before then taking part in a civic reception at the Guildhall.

Double Devon Cup Rugby success

Never before has Exeter School played rugby in April but after the appalling winter the U16 and U15 Devon Cup Finals were played on Wednesday (2 April) at Topsham Rugby Club.

Although it was Exeter School's hockey term, the teams trained for a fortnight leading up to the final and soon honed their rugby skills and fitness.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter says he is looking to unleash the “huge potential” on offer in new signing Tomas Francis.

The 21-year-old prop, who has joined from Championship side London Scottish, has today put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Aviva Premiership club and will bolster Baxter’s options in the front-row following the departures this summer of Hoani Tui (Lyon) and Craig Mitchell (Cardiff Blues).

Middlesex Sports Foundation in Partnership With Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby

The National Governing Body for Wheelchair Rugby, GBWR, has agreed a deal with the Middlesex Sports Foundation worth £50,000 that will run for the next four years.

Rhidian Jones, Chairman of the Middlesex Sports Foundation, said: “We were all impressed by the courage and commitment of the athletes at the Paralympics in London in 2012. Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter said he was "perplexed" as to why his team were not awarded a penalty try in the final minute of their Aviva Premiership encounter at home to Gloucester.
