There is something exciting about supporting a team or a player and watching them work hard each year, for them to win or come close to winning the sport that they excel in. Take football as an example, this year it has been thriving with the premier league being a very close competition - Will Liverpool, Man City or Arsenal win the league this year? City supporter donates scrapbooks to Trust History Project

The Exeter City FC Supporters’ Trust was delighted to receive a collection of scrapbooks, going back to the 1950s, about Exeter City.

The donation came from long time supporter Martin Copleston, who handed over three large bundles of scrapbooks to ensure they were saved for future generations to look at.

Martin started keeping scrapbooks in 1957/8 and still rates our 1958/9 team, which just missed out on promotion, as the best Exeter side he has seen.

The Trust is currently developing its history work with plans for a new Exeter City History Group in the pipeline....

With less than eight months to go to the Rugby World Cup, the final preparations to showcase Exeter Rugby Club’s facilities on the world stage are well underway, backed by a suite of funding packages from Barclays.

Midfielder signs for the Grecians

Exeter City have added midfielder Tom McCready to the ranks at St James Park on a contract until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was previously with Morecambe on non-contract terms, and played 45 minutes from the bench against the Grecians during City’s 2-0 win at the Globe Arena in October.

Defending champions Exeter Chiefs booked their place in the last four of this season’s LV= Cup with this hard-fought victory away to Newport-Gwent Dragons.

Alex Nicholls’ third goal in as many games wasn’t enough to get anything for Exeter City from a meeting with Tranmere Rovers, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at St James Park.
