Georgian Youngster Tchumbadze Becomes a Chief

Exeter Chiefs have completed the signing of young Georgian international prop, Bachuki Tchumbadze, ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 23-year-old front rower moves to Devon to play his club rugby outside of his native Georgia for the first time in his career.

“I really enjoy English rugby, and I’m truly honoured to have the opportunity to be a key part of the Exeter Chiefs,” Tchumbadze said.

“I’m well aware of the crucial role that forwards play in the team’s system, and I’m really looking forward to making my debut in the Premiership.”

Top sailing figures are flocking to Exmouth this June to participate in the annual kitesurfing competition organised by Edge Watersports. Three Exeter Chiefs players have been named by England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster in a 24-man squad to play the Barbarians at Twickenham next Sunday (May 31).

Exeter Chiefs back-row Dave Ewers has shrugged off the disappointment of missing out on a place in England’s 50-man World Cup training squad and insists his season has still been a success.
