New Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy visits Exeter

With fewer than 100 days to go until the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 kicks off, excitement is building across the country – and today Exeter played host to the brand-new tournament trophy as part of its official nationwide tour.

The newly unveiled trophy arrived at Exeter Cathedral, where it was welcomed by Sarah Massey, Managing Director of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, and a host of Exeter Chiefs stars, including England international Flo Robinson, her sister and fellow Chief Emily Robinson, and teammates Katie Buchanan and Lucy Nye.

City's unbeaten run comes to and end

Exeter City’s 12-game unbeaten run came to an end at Home Park on Saturday as they were beaten 3-0 by local rivals Plymouth Argyle.

Exeter School's equestrian team has qualified for the National Team Show Jumping Championships at Bury Farm.

This success is hot on the heels after coming joint first in the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) competition which qualified the team for the National Finals at Hickstead in May.

Underrepresented groups in grassroots football will soon have more teams to play in. The FA are investing £1.5m into the Grow the Game scheme – a programme that increases participation at the lowest levels of the game.
