Pellow to leave Chiefs after 16 seasons

Ricky Pellow has made the decision to leave the Exeter Chiefs coaching team after 16 seasons to spend more time with his family and explore other career opportunities.

The proud Cornishman joined Chiefs in 2009 as skills coach after retiring from his playing career during which he played scrum-half for Cornish Pirates and Worcester Warriors.

Pellow said: “I’ve had 16 amazing years here at the club, so it’s an emotional decision to leave but it is one that enables me and my family to experience a new adventure.

Exeter City booked their place in the second round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-2 penalty shootout win following a 1-1 draw at St James Park.

Kayden Jackson's first half goal was cancelled out by Troy Brown's header after the break before Lee Martin netted the decisive penalty to send the Grecians into the next round.

Exeter City continued their positive start to the season as they beat Morecambe 2-0 at the Globe Arena.

Local independent house builder Devonshire Homes has raised an incredible £7,295.67 for its charity partner, Children’s Hospice South West.

Devonshire Homes welcomed over 120 guests from across the housing and construction sector to its first Charity Golf Day at Downes Crediton Golf Club. Teams of four enjoyed a day on the greens which included 18-holes and a variety of competitions such as the longest drive, challenge the Pro and closest to the pin. Harry Williams insists Exeter Chiefs can ill afford to dwell on the disappointment of defeat in May’s Premiership Final against Saracens.

Instead, the England international believes he and his team-mates must instead use that loss as ‘fuel to the fire’ as the Devon club look ahead to the new 2018/19 campaign.

Jake Taylor signs new deal at St James Park

Captain Jake Taylor says he is excited about the future at Exeter City having put pen to paper on a new deal at St James Park.

The midfielder, who has been an integral part of the team over the past two-and-a-half seasons, says the club is moving in the right direction and he was keen to tie down his future at St James Park because of that.

A Tae Kwon Do student from Honiton was crowned world champion when students from Honiton and Axminster Tae Kwon Do represented England at the International World Championships in Birmingham.

Over 2500 competitors from all over the world attended the two day event, competing in sparring, patterns, team sparring, team patterns and destruction to be crowned World Champions.

Exeter City sign Dara O'Shea from West Brom on loan

Exeter City are delighted to announce the signing of defender Dara O’Shea from West Bromwich Albion on a six-month loan deal.

Dara, who joined the Baggies’ academy at under-16 level, spent last season on loan with Hereford gaining a great deal of experience in senior football, helping himself to seven goals as he won the club’s young player of the year award in what was a promotion season for the Bulls.

Grecians off to winning start at St James Park

Exeter City got their 2018/19 season off to a positive start with a 3-1 win over Carlisle United at St James Park.

In Matt Taylor's first competitive match in charge of the Grecians, they went ahead in the first half when Nicky Law struck, before Jonathan Forte added another with a composed finish.

United pulled a goal back just before half-time, but were unable to find an equaliser as substitute Tristan Abrahams then sealed the points for City with an injury time goal.

A fiesta of football for city youngsters

More than 100 children got to meet their Exeter City idols at a special Train with the Team Day.

The event, which was organised by Exeter CITY Community Trust and the Junior Grecian Committee, saw members of the Junior Grecians take over the club’s Cliff Hill Training Ground.

Exeter Golf and Country Club’s Head Golf Professional has been appointed Director of Golf to amalgamate the administration, management and commercial aspects of the facility and membership.

Darren Everett, who has been the Golf Professional at Exeter Golf and Country Club since May 2016, will take over the responsibilities of Golf Manager, from Ben Martin on 4th August. After three years as Golf Manager and a previous three working in the Pro Shop, Ben is due to start his new role as the South West Regional Manager for England Golf.
