Pellow to leave Chiefs after 16 seasons

Ricky Pellow has made the decision to leave the Exeter Chiefs coaching team after 16 seasons to spend more time with his family and explore other career opportunities.

The proud Cornishman joined Chiefs in 2009 as skills coach after retiring from his playing career during which he played scrum-half for Cornish Pirates and Worcester Warriors.

Pellow said: “I’ve had 16 amazing years here at the club, so it’s an emotional decision to leave but it is one that enables me and my family to experience a new adventure.

A prestigious international karate seminar will come to Ottery St Mary next month, hosted by East Devon’s SYTL (Say Yes To Life) Karate Club. The Seiwakai International Karate Seminar is being held at LED’s Ottery Leisure Centre on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September, with up to 150 local karate students and those from across the country taking part. Residents, commuters and visitors to Barnstaple on Monday September 3 are advised to leave more time for their journey as the Tour of Britain returns to the town.

Starting in Cranbrook, East Devon, the race covers 174km (108miles) of Devon countryside before finishing in Barnstaple town centre - and large numbers of spectators are expected to visit on race day.

Exeter Chiefs chairman Tony Rowe OBE says it's testament to the 'fantastic backing' the club receive from its loyal supporters that season ticket sales have risen again ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
