Ladies golf news from Exeter Golf and Country Club

Devon v Cornwall - the Exeter ladies take on Perranporth.

The Exeter Golf and Country Club Ladies Still Cup winning team in 2013 played against Perranporth, the equivalent Gammon Trophy winning team from Cornwall, for the Tamar Trophy at Exeter on Sunday 2 March.

The Tamar trophy, played to find the best South West Peninsula ladies club scratch team was won by Perranporth by 6 games to 1, Exeter’s Gill Whitehead, a 1 handicapper, winning the only game for Exeter against a strong side from Perranporth.

On Monday the ladies played the senior men and won by 5½ and 4½.

In a tightly fought monthly stableford on Tuesday, Carol Gregory came out top with 40 points followed by Christine Ashby and Anne Bate, second and third, also with 40 points.
