Exeter City's Elliott Chamberlain to spend a month at Bath

Exeter City forward Elliott Chamberlain has joined Bath City on a month-long loan deal.

Chamberlain, whose wages at St James Park are paid by the 1931 Fund (a group of supporters who every year opt to fund a players’ wages), has been progressing well in training, and now has the opportunity to play more first-team football over the next four weeks with the Romans.

He will be available for tomorrow night’s fixture against Welling at Twerton Park, before Staines are the visitors on Saturday – and a total of nine fixtures are scheduled for Bath in the coming month.  City youngster Tom Nichols also spent a loan spell with the Conference South side this season, making seven appearances before returning to Exeter last week.

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale said: “A number of our young prospects have gone out on loan this season and returned with an increased level of maturity that comes with playing first-team football.

“Elliott is a really bright young man with bags of potential, and now he has the same opportunity to play regularly and we’ll be monitoring his progress with Bath.  We will look forward to welcoming him back to Exeter soon.”
