Ed & Phil support Le Tour Exeter
Ironbridge Runner owner Pete Ferlie and his team are well known for promoting fun and innovative running events, with the latest promotion being very topically themed on the Tour de France. Three different running race Stages over the three days of Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July each reflect some well-known aspect of the famous cycle race.
Stage 1 is a 10km Road Race based on the Flowerpots Playing Fields in Exeter on Friday evening. A Stage 2 ‘King of the Mountains’ off-road 8km Trail Race will be held in Haldon Forest on Saturday evening before the final Stage 3 ‘Green Jersey Sprint King’ race of a 5,000m Track Race rounds off the Tour at Exeter Arena on Sunday morning.
Although the main aim for competitors is to run all three Stages of Le Tour with overall prizes on offer, individual entries are also invited for Stages 1 and 2. Full details of the races can be found on the Ironbridge events website
As a long-time provider of products to Ironbridge Runner, distributors Ed & Phil Active are delighted to be supporting Le Tour Exeter with Wigwam and ToeToe socks, CherryActive recovery drink and elete hydration products both as prizes and giveaways at the races and in the shop on Saturday morning.
Ed & Phil partner, Phillip Howells, himself a running coach and very experienced runner with nearly 150 marathons to his name, will be at each Stage (and in fact competing) and will also be in the Exeter shop from 10am to 2pm on the Saturday to discuss any running related topic with customers who call in on the day. There are additional incentives to call in with spot prizes of the products on the day and special offers on Wigwam socks for both existing and new customers.
Long established as one of Devon’s leading running shops, Ironbridge Runner can be found at 15 Bartholomew Street East, Exeter, EX4 3BG, where a professional, informed and friendly welcome awaits all customers.
