Tiverton Youth 2 - 3 Central United

Central United under 11's & Tiverton Youth under 11's met for the first time this season and played a tight first half, however United did appear the better side. The boys from Central were unlucky not to go into the break with a lead after Andrew Lapworth and Francis Blewett both came desperately close.

The Tiverton side came out strong in the second half and scored an impressive goal with their first clear cut chance to take a 1 - 0 lead. United responded immediately however with a brilliant team goal converted by Pacey Large . The second half continued with some more great football but the back of the net proved elusive and 1-1 was looking like the most likely outcome. That is until Matt Williams made a surging run down the right wing and scored an amazing long range shot from an acute angle.

With over 30 minutes of the second half gone Euan Land scored a close range shot to increase the United lead to 3 - 1. Surprisingly the ref continued play and Tiverton was able to score a second, before the Central side tightened things up and held on for a deserved 2 - 3 victory.
