Exeter School is hosting a British Shooting Target Sprint on 10 June, open to all aged 11+. No experience is needed and all the equipment is provided.

Gorgs Geikie from Devon, who represented Great Britain at the London Olympics, is organising the 2017 Target Sprint National Series.

She goes on to say: “We at British Shooting are delighted to be running this South West Qualifying event at Exeter School. Target Sprint is a little like biathlon, but swapping ski’s for trainers! Find us on Facebook at TargetSprintGB where you can enter the event and online at www.targetsprint.co.uk

Gorgs is keen to encourage anyone interested to take part in this exciting event which consists of three 400m rounds interspersed with two air rifle shooting sessions.

“We have three categories,” Gorgs explained. “The youth category is for 11-15 year-olds, the junior for 16-20-year-old and senior is for 21+. We have individual male and female categories as well as an open team event.

This is the South West qualifying event for the National Final, to be held in September at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex.”

It’s a great opportunity to try something new in the beautiful grounds of Exeter School.

Anyone interested can sign up for the event which takes place at Exeter School from 2pm on Saturday 10 June via:
