Exeter Contemporary Open 2012 Winner Announced

At an exclusive awards ceremony and exhibition opening at Exeter Phoenix last night, Olivier Larivière was announced as the recipient of the main £1000 award for the Exeter Contemporary Open 2012. The judges – artist S Mark Gubb, independent curator Paula Orrell and Phoenix gallery curator Matt Burrows faced a tough decision to select three award winners from the nine exhibiting artists. Olivier's paintings however, a series of images depicting people handling wild animals, were seen to stand out as particularly strong.

Bicton hosts first joint event for Jubilee Federation

Students from Broadhembury and Branscombe primary school enjoyed a fun-filled activity day at Bicton College to celebrate the merging of the two schools. Bicton College is proud to be supporting the community organising a great day for over 70 pupils aged between 4 and 11 years, pupils participated in activities including High and Low Ropes, Rafting, Climbing, Archery, Canoeing, Orienteering and Shelter building.
