Woodbury Park was the venue for a superb Makeover event arranged by Penny Albertella, the director of the Southernhay Clinic and the Dream-A-Way Dream Team.

Nearly 100 ladies enjoyed delicious canapés and refreshing Pimms in the newly refurbished Clubhouse.

Guests were invited to meet with many experienced and varied practitioners and to meet with the therapists from Bodyzone.

The ladies were treated to complimentary manicures from a professional team of beauty students from Exeter College.

There was even an opportunity to speak to jewellery experts from Beaverbrooks and to have their jewellery professionally cleaned.

Beauty treatments were presented on the stage throughout the evening and they proved very popular.

The ladies were delighted to see a stunning fashion show with a variety of fashionable outfits provided by John Lewis and paraded by a talented team of volunteer models.

Chairman Jeff Merrett said: “It was a brilliant evening and everyone was truly spoilt by Woodbury Park and our many practitioners. Huge thanks to everyone for their support with special mention to our stunning models and to Penny for her hard work in making the event so successful

"With thanks to our sponsors, therapists and of course our guests, the evening raised a magnificent fundraising total in excess of £1300 to further the important work of Dream-A-Way locally.”
