Guitar indie-pop band Pale Waves and Mercury-nominated The Big Moon are the latest acts heading to the south Devon countryside for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

The bands are joining the line-up for seven-time GRAMMY Award winning Canadian / American artist Alanis Morissette ’s headline show with special guest musical powerhouse Skunk Anansie at TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham on Friday June 26.

Devon and Cornwall Police have asked the public to be alert but not alarmed in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack.

Play area revamped with help from the Exeter Foundation

A play area on the outskirts of Exeter has been refurbished with help from the Exeter Foundation.

£5,000 was donated towards upgrading the children’s play area in Exton, with new equipment including a multi-play unit and swings. The existing play area was becoming unsafe and the people of Exton were keen to improve the park for the increasing number of children living in the village. The Marine Conservation Society (MCS), the UK's leading marine charity, is looking to hook up people over 50 with their first ever MCS beach clean.

The charity is running a clean up for over 50's at Exmouth Beach on Sunday June 4th. It's specifically aimed at people who were born in 1967 or before and who have never taken part in a beach clean in their half century or more.

Devon came out in force for the 122nd Devon County Show which ended yesterday (Saturday). Crowds flocked to Westpoint showground near Exeter to be part of the county’s largest annual event.
