Cranbrook to Host First eat:Festival Food and Drink Event

eat:Festivals will be hosting a food and drink festival in Cranbrook on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The festival will be happening in the heart of the town, on and surrounding the Tillhouse Road. eat:Festivals are a small social enterprise who have been delivering one day food and drink festivals in towns across the south-west for over 13 years. The British Dragonfly Society have officially declared Stover Country Park as a Hotspot for Dragonflies.

Come along on Saturday 1 June to help celebrate the launch of this site as a Dragonfly Hotspot with a day of free activities from 10am – 4pm. Seaton hosts Great British Seaside Weekend

Vintage entertainment, live music and traditional seaside activities, as well as the 15th Velo Vintage Occasion and Ride, are part of the ‘Great British Seaside Weekend’ taking place in Seaton on Saturday 22ndJune.

The event is hosted by Seaton Town Council and includes the Velo Vintage - a genteel vintage cycle ride attracting over 100 amateur cyclists dressed in vintage clothing and riding decorated bicycles on a 9-mile leisurely route around the coastal town.

A teenager from Devon, who was first introduced to flying on his ninth birthday, is one of 11 teenagers awarded a Flying Scholarship for their commitment to the work of a national military charity.

Robin Dalton, an RAF Air Cadet with 2443 (Okehampton) Squadron, received 12 hours of flying lessons for his commitment to the work of the Royal Air Forces Association, which supports the RAF family.

Eight community groups faced up to a panel of critical ‘dragons’ and an audience of local people at the Beehive in Honiton on 29 May 2019 to win a share of a funding ‘pot’ of £5,000 given by East Devon District Council, Devon County Council and Honiton Town Council. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the A30 in East Devon on Thursday 30 May.

Emergency services were called at around 2.20pm to a three-vehicle collision on the Honiton-bound carriageway of the road, near to Parsons Bridge and around a mile from the Daisymount junction.

Following a non-injury collision between a Grey Audi S3 and a white DAF Articulated Lorry, a white VW motor caravan collided with the rear of the articulated lorry.
