Exeter Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for ELF Raceday, taking place on Friday 5th December 2025.

Through this collaboration, ELF and Exeter Racecourse will launch a special gifting programme aimed at bringing joy to children and families supported by the charity during the Festive season.

Organisers unveil latest event at Exeter Festival

Organisers have unveiled the latest event taking place at this summer’s Exeter Festival.

The Exeter Festival Funday in the Park is to feature a day of entertainment and activity for all the family in Northernhay Gardens.

Taking place on Sunday, 7 July, and sponsored by Princesshay, the focus will be on fun, dance, sport, leisure and activities.

Instead of snow, it was high winds and rain that tested the ever growing band of men who took part in Hospiscare ’s Men’s Walk this year. Just under 1000 resilient men signed up for the challenge, making it Hospiscare’s most successful Men’s Walk to date.

The weather conditions were again challenging but spirits were high as the walkers set off from the Double Locks pub. Along the route they were buoyed by an amazing team of dedicate volunteers offering support and encouragement. Since its launch in 2014, RGB Building Supplies’ Well Built Community Fund has supported 28 charities, schools, projects and community groups by donating £1,000 worth of building materials every other month. The builders merchant is delighted to be bringing it back for another year and is inviting groups from the Exeter area to get in contact.

Stagecoach South West re-launches Night Bus in Torbay

This spring, Stagecoach South West is reintroducing a late-night bus service for Torbay residents.

The N12 will operate every 30 minutes, between Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, from the late evening of Friday and Saturday nights until around 0430 the following day.

The service will launch on the evening of Good Friday, 19th April, just as the busy Easter holidays begin, and is expected to be popular with both local residents and visitors, wishing to leave the car at home and enjoy a night out in the Torbay area.
