Local shops and good transport links top the list of priorities for home hunters in Exeter when it comes to choosing where to live.

Five star housebuilder David Wilson Homes has examined the amenities that people rank the most important when it comes to making a location their home.

A DEVON care provider says unpaid and paid carers are invaluable in today’s society and this is why it is helping raise awareness of the role they play during Carers Week (June 2019).

Exeter secures top 10 status in Guardian league table

The University of Exeter has been ranked as one of the top 10 UK universities in the UK in the influential Guardian University Guide 2020.

The latest league table, released today (June 7th 2019) ranks Exeter tenth of 121 UK higher education institutions – a rise of four places year-on-year.

Universities are ranked according to a number of factors, including student satisfaction on courses and teaching and the proportion of graduates in employment or further study after six months. It also includes a “value added” score, which compares degree results with entry...

Exeter graduates donate over 75,000 hours to help West Country students thrive

To mark volunteers week (1-7 June), the University of Exeter is delighted to announce that since 2012 Exeter alumni have donated over 75,000 hours to the ‘ Making the Exceptional Happen ’ Campaign.

The Campaign, Exeter’s most ambitious to-date, originally aimed to achieve 60,000 volunteering hours by 2020, however the commitment and generosity of the alumni community meant that was reached nearly two years early in February 2018. A new target of 90,000 hours has now been set following the milestone achievement.

The British Dragonfly Society have officially declared Stover Country Park as a Hotspot for Dragonflies.

Seaton hosts Great British Seaside Weekend

Vintage entertainment, live music and traditional seaside activities, as well as the 15th Velo Vintage Occasion and Ride, are part of the ‘Great British Seaside Weekend’ taking place in Seaton on Saturday 22ndJune.

A teenager from Devon, who was first introduced to flying on his ninth birthday, is one of 11 teenagers awarded a Flying Scholarship for their commitment to the work of a national military charity.

Robin Dalton, an RAF Air Cadet with 2443 (Okehampton) Squadron, received 12 hours of flying lessons for his commitment to the work of the Royal Air Forces Association, which supports the RAF family.

He and his fellow cadets were presented with their scholarships at the RAF Association’s annual conference by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier....
