Nationwide and Dementia UK’s free face-to-face clinics are returning to Nationwide’s Torquay, Plymouth and Exmouth branches this February, offering specialist support in a safe, comfortable and private space for people to discuss any aspect of dementia.

New purpose-build student accommodation should be available to all members of the community, according to City Council Leader Phil Bialyk.

Sea change for women in water sports

The Teignmouth-based company and the regional variation of the UK’s viral #ThisGirlCan campaign are encouraging more women on the water by offering ladies-only half price taster sessions in sailing.

Devon County Council’s Reuse Project Officer Catherine Causley has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to recycling at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Catherine was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Recycling Award 2019 at the recent annual Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee (LARAC) Conference in Birmingham.

A two-year £1.3m joint project to install at least 25 electric vehicle charge points for public use in car parks across Devon begins in October 2019
