A Devon-based arboricultural company is looking to hire more than 100 additional staff across the South West after winning a major new contract with National Grid Electricity Distribution.

RSK Hi-Line, headquartered in Exeter, has been awarded the eight-year contract for vegetation management in the South West region for National Grid Electricity Distribution. Funding expected to total £1.2 million ($1,566,874) over four years from the USA’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) will help Exeter academics advance understanding about the underlying biological mechanisms leading to some people with Alzheimer’s disease developing psychosis.

UK residents can find inspiration on how to breathe new life into their broken possessions at what promises to be the largest repair event of its kind ever held.

The Big Fix 2020 will see 75 repair cafes from around the UK join forces and run simultaneous events on Saturday February 15.

In an event being co-ordinated by Devon County Council, hundreds of volunteer fixers will donate their Saturday fixing anything and everything from clothes, electrical items and furniture to toys, mechanical items and leather goods, all for just a small donation.
