Families are being invited to get their tickets for ‘Exeter’s brightest’ 5k charity fun run, taking place at Westpoint this summer.

Registration for Rainbow Run on Saturday, June 20 opened yesterday Thursday (January 30), with a 25 per cent discount available for those who sign up early.

More than 1,000 people walked, jogged or ran through a series of coloured paint stations at last year’s event, raising £55,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.

The Devon County Agricultural Association staged its first ever Devon County Show in May in 1872 at Victoria Park, Exeter. Despite a torrential downpour, which almost washed the President’s luncheon guests out of his marquee, that first show was a great success. Exeter residents thanked for "fantastic job" recycling at Christmas

Exeter’s recycling chief has thanked city residents for their recycling efforts over the Christmas period and urged people to reduce, reuse and recycle, moving forward.

Hundreds of tonnes of aluminium cans, plastic containers and cardboard boxes were collected from houses across Exeter over the holidays.

Exeter Festival returns this summer – and organisers are promising another massive fun-filled weekend to remember.

The festival will return to Northernhay Gardens and other venues around the city, from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July.

Exeter second best city for cyclists according to new survey

Exeter has been declared the second best city for cyclists, a new study has revealed.

Exeter scored good points for good air quality, cycling and walking statistics according to the survey by law firm True Solicitors.
