THE organising committee and trustees behind Exeter Pride have been awarded £20,000 in National Lottery funding to support their work in delivering an even bigger and better event.

Exeter Pride, which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer/questioning plus (LGBTQ+) communities, has gone from strength to strength in recent years and now organises one of the largest free pride events in the South West.

Devon’s GP practices are helping the fight against COVID-19 by enabling patients to consult their doctor without leaving the house, either online, by the telephone or through video.

More than 90% of the county’s practices have now signed up to the eConsult online platform, which allows patients to access services from their smartphone, tablet or computer.

With spring in the air as well as signs of new life from the natural world, the RSPCA is seeing an influx in fox cubs coming into its care up and down the country.

Dartmoor National Park Authority has launched a Coronavirus Community Support Grant (CCSG) to provide valuable funding to organisations working in communities affected by the pandemic. The TAAG Community Centre was created from a derelict commercial garage 10 years ago and since then has been serving the local community with arts and well-being workshops, galleries and related facilities.

The Council planned to demolish it as part of their development plans but strong local support led to the building being offered to TAAG to buy.
