Team FORCE smash it at the 2026 Great West Run

Team FORCE has again pulled out all the stops at this year’s Great West Run.

Nearly 450 people ran either the half marathon or 10K around the streets of Exeter and beyond in Sunday’s sweltering heat to support FORCE Cancer Charity.

Between them they have raised more than £135,000 so far, which will support local people dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Chloe Richardson, event fundraiser for FORCE, said: “It was a great day and we are astounded by the support and love for FORCE from our runners.

Young performers from PQA Exeter take to the West End stage in an action-adventure stage show

50 young performers from the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in Exeter took to the stage at London’s iconic His Majesty’s Theatre at the weekend to perform the stage show, ‘Across the Line’.

A highlight for PQA Exeter, the show is part of an ambitious series of 26 West End performances, featuring around 5,200 young people from across PQA’s nationwide network. Each performance brings together three academies. Performing alongside PQA Exeter on this occasion were young performers from PQA Loughborough and PQA Rugby.

The creative talents of crocheters and knitters from across Exeter and Devon are set to be showcased in a display to celebrate the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 coming to Exeter.
