RED Construction opens new office at Exeter Science Park, building on successful regional growth

Exeter Science Park has welcomed RED Construction Group as its latest tenant, further strengthening the Park’s reputation as a hub for high-growth, innovation-focused companies.

RED Construction Group, an award-winning contractor with a strong track record across the south west, is no stranger to Exeter Science Park. The company recently delivered the £22 million, net-zero carbon voco Zeal Hotel - a flagship project for the region.

The company has delivered an extensive portfolio of high-profile projects in Bristol and across the south west region over the past eight years. The decision to open a new office at Exeter Science Park marks a strategic step forward in its regional expansion and deepens its commitment to sustainable, high-quality development across Devon and Somerset.

Steve Welch, Operations Manager at RED Construction South West, said: " Exeter Science Park puts us right at the heart of one of theSouth West’s most dynamic and forward-thinking business communities. We’re proud of our work on the voco Zeal Hotel and excited to contribute further to the region’s growth, sustainability, and innovation."

RED’s move to the Science Park reflects its broader ambition to grow in collaboration with like-minded partners, focusing on delivery, integrity, and long-term relationships.  The new office will be home to a dedicated regional team, anchoring RED’s presence in the region and supporting sustainable development and innovation across the South West.

Steve added: “The new office bridges the gap down from Bristol and across to Plymouth. For us, Exeter was the obvious choice, following the completion of the net zero voco Zeal Hotel and the great relationship we had established with the team at the Science Park, as well as the benefits of being adjacent to the M5.

“We’re very pleased with the new space and looking forward to getting involved with the activity at the Science Park, including the networking opportunities and also getting to connect with likeminded companies and individuals.”

Jason Buck, Senior Business Development Manager at Exeter Science Park, said:
"We’re delighted to welcome RED Construction Group to the Park. Their involvement in delivering the voco Zeal Hotel showcases the kind of innovative, forward-looking, sustainable development we value, and we look forward to seeing their business continue to thrive in this space."

Exeter Science Park contributes approximately £50 million annually to the regional economy, supporting more than 750 jobs and is home to 45 high-growth science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) businesses.
