The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult for everyone, and particularly those working to protect Devon’s most vulnerable residents.

The Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership has announced an extension to the Hinkley Point Supply Chain Service, to cover the next 12 months.

Exeter City debut big screen

A giant new electronic screen at Exeter City Football Club’s ground, St James Park, has finally made its debut.

The club was given permission for the 29 x 17-feet (8.64 x 5.12 metre) LED screen by the city council around the start of the season last August, but delays meant fans had to wait until Saturday to see it in action for the first time.

On a recent visit to The Mint Methodist Church in Fore Street, Exeter, Andy Vodden Assistant Head of the Devonshire Freemasons met Mark Richardson the Foodbank Manager to present him with a certificate denoting the £4000 grand made to them from the Devonshire Masonic Benevolent Fund together with the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF).

RGB Building Supplies’ Well Built Builders Bum 2022 calendar has raised £1,610 for Mind charities across the region – Devon Mind, Cornwall Mind and Mind in Somerset.

Application to build 1,400 new homes at Cranbrook submitted to council

Up to 1,435 new Cranbrook homes, a second neighbourhood centre and a primary school could be built under freshly proposed plans, submitted to the council this week.

An outline planning application, put forward by Persimmon Homes, also includes 10 serviced pitches for gypsies and travellers, the creation of public open space, allotments and land for a cemetery along with a range of other infrastructure to support the proposed development.

Exeter church with vision for 100 churches in next 10 years

An Exeter church has released a courageous vision to launch 100 new churches across the South West of England.
