This time last year, two Devon students were piecing together their ideas to create a new lifestyle brand, and in May they will celebrate a year since the launch of Elsie & Arthur.

A successful fundraising auction by the Friends of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery has ensured that a portrait commemorating the friendship of two of Devon’s most famous artists has been saved for Devon.

A 56-year-old man whose body was found in the River Exe on Saturday morning has been named locally as Kevin Osmond. Although not yet named by police, tributes for Mr Osmond were posted on facebook yesterday evening. Local man Steve Power dedicated a photograph to Mr Osmond with a message of condolence.
