Taylor Wimpey Exeter donates over 3,000 winter essentials to homeless people and £10,000 to charity

Taylor Wimpey Exeter has donated 3,011 hats, gloves, scarves and socks to homelessness charity, CRASH, through collections from across the region.

As part of its Wrap Up Warm campaign, the leading homebuilder has donated over 14,000 much needed winter essentials to 24 homelessness centres in England, Scotland and Wales in support of its national charity partners - CRASH, St Mungo’s and CRISIS.

Taylor Wimpey Exeter collected the most winter essentials out of every Taylor Wimpey region, and came up with the most engaging video that showcased the collecting journey....

AN award-winning UK paddleboarder and eco pioneer is to be the face of a new Devon ethical beachwear brand, set up to help families make waves with their wardrobe.

David Haze – who was recently named Ocean Activist of the Year by Surfers Against Sewage at its Plastic Free awards – has joined forces with Ottery St Mary-based SeaSurf.

The University of Exeter has been officially recognised as one of the country’s best parks following its receipt of two Green Flag Awards for 2023.

Leading construction industry supplier TIMCO is touring RGB Building Supplies’ branches giving advice and demonstrations to those working in the trades and property owners, and will be at the Exeter depot on Monday 24th July.

Between 7.30am and 2pm, visitors to the branch will be able to see demonstrations of TIMCO’s effective insulation board fixings and advanced coach screws. Experts from the supplier will be on hand to talk to customers and answer questions.

Grants available for groups that give communities a helping hand

Local groups that improve people’s well-being, reduces isolation, helps families eat nutritiously or aim to provide a warm safe space this winter are being reminded that grants are still available from Devon County Council. (DCC).

This month marks the first birthday of the Growing Communities Fund and since its launch it has been supporting local communities through the cost-of-living crisis.
