Taylor Wimpey Exeter has donated 3,011 hats, gloves, scarves and socks to homelessness charity, CRASH, through collections from across the region.

As part of its Wrap Up Warm campaign, the leading homebuilder has donated over 14,000 much needed winter essentials to 24 homelessness centres in England, Scotland and Wales in support of its national charity partners - CRASH, St Mungo’s and CRISIS.

Homelessness charities providing vital services within Devon have today issued a plea to Devon County Council to reject proposed cuts to homelessness funding ahead of a special meeting of the Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Committee.

Affordable homes one step closer as ground broken at West Clyst

Councillors from East Devon District Council (EDDC) and Broadclyst Parish Council joined housing association Sovereign to celebrate work starting on 69 new affordable and highly sustainable homes on the edge of Exeter.

Ground was broken by Cllr Olly Davey, Portfolio Holder for Strategic Planning at EDDC, alongside the Chair of Broadclyst Parish Council, Henry Massey.

The homes at Moonhill Rise will be the first built to the highest rating in Sovereign’s Homes and Place Standard for sustainable homes, which was created alongside Sovereign customers.

Thanks to the generosity of the people in Devon the Exeter Kindness Mural will now go ahead. This means the Crossline building in the city centre will be upgraded to include an inspirational Charlie Mackesy illustration on its gable wall. The mural aims to spread a message of generosity to passers-by.

A Crowdfunding campaign held from March through May raised £5,381 (+ £800 in GiftAid) with 133 supporters in 69 days. This will cover the cost of essential repairs to the wall and all surplus funds will go to charity. Recipients will include the Crossline Soup Kitchen in the basement...

A primary school in Exeter were able to hold their colour run following sponsorship from a leading developer.

Persimmon Homes South West were delighted to donate £500 towards Ladysmith Infant and Junior School’s event organised by the school’s CPTT (Children Parents Teachers Together) group that saw dozens of children able to get colourful and messy, receiving a medal at the end of the race.
