Darts Farm is celebrating a remarkable milestone - 55 years since of ‘Darts Farm’ and they are celebrating with a three-day Summer Festival from 12th to 14th June 2026.

Leading Women UK Political Special Roadshow comes to Exeter

NETWORKING group Leading Women UK will be bringing their series of political debates across the west country in the run up to the general election to Exeter.

The event will include a panel made up of Ben Bradshaw, Labour Party MP for Exeter; Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Dom Morris and PPC Diana Moore for the Green Party.

It will be held at the city’s Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel as part of the Leading Women UK Political Special 2015 on April 16th from 6pm to 8pm.

Chocolate rugby ball Easter egg hunt

A special Easter egg hunt inspired by Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off along the Exe Estuary Trail this spring.

The Exe Egg Chase will run during the Easter holidays, starting on Saturday March 28 and running through to Sunday April 12.

People taking part have to find small, Rugby-ball shaped chocolate eggs which are hidden at a number of businesses along the estuary trail route including, Saddles & Paddles, Toby Buckland Plant Centre, Stuart Line Cruises, Darts Farm, the Salutation Inn and Double Locks.

Long established web design agency Daneswood celebrated their move to new offices in Exeter city centre and were joined by more than 50 of their clients.

Drone provides bird’s eye seaside view

Sidmouth’s seagulls were joined by a ‘bird of no feather’ when a tiny fixed wing drone took to the skies on behalf of East Devon District Council to photograph Sidmouth beach and cliffs east of the River Sid to provide up to date evidence of coastal erosion for its Beach Management Plan project.

Holy Week worship at Exeter Cathedral

Exeter Cathedral has published listings of this year's services for 'Holy Week'.

The programme begins on Palm Sunday (29th March) with a dramatic procession of palms from St Pancras Church in the Guildhall Shopping Centre (9.45am).

Much of the worship will be led by the Cathedral Choir, who also give a devotional performance of John Stainer's Crucifixion on Good Friday (3rd April) at 19.30

A well earned pint and a pasty

Cheers! Walkers taking part in Hospiscare's FUGBY12 men's walk were rewarded with a much needed pint and a pasty.

Main sponsor Roger Wilkinson, of Wilkinson Grant, gave a stirring speech sending hundreds of walkers on their way from St James Park Football club, through the player's tunnel and around the pitch, before heading over to Mincinglake Valley Park and back to twatch the rugby where they enjoyed pints and pasties courtesy of St Austell Brewery and Chunk Pies. Jewellery taken in Sidmouth burglary

Police are appealing for information after items of jewellery of huge sentimental value were taken from a property near Sidmouth.

A double-stranded pearl necklace, silver rose quartz set of earrings, and a rose quartz pendant on a silver chain were taken during a burglary at a property in Glebelands, Newton Poppleford.

Detectives believe entry was gained through an insecure door, sometime between 10am and 10.45pm on Thursday 19 March.
