Exeter funeral home makes eggs-tra special donation

A funeral home in Exeter has helped bring Easter joy to the local community and children in need after donating 205 chocolate eggs and ‘bags of hope’.

The treats were gathered through a collection donation drive organised by the team at Co-op Funeralcare Exeter on Cowick Street, in St Thomas Shopping Centre, with some of the Easter eggs donated to children living in temporary accommodation in the city.

Thousands flock to University fun day

An estimated 2,500 people visited the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus for a fun-filled programme of free family events yesterday.

The award-winning grounds were abuzz as local residents took part in tours, a treasure hunt and a wide range of sports sessions, from football skills with Exeter City football club, to archery, touch rugby, and ultimate Frisbee.

McCoy’s Arcade is celebrating the start of a new era today with the unveiling of its brand new interior.

Owned by a West Country family property company for many years, and now overseen by Jake Hitchcock, the arcade has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment over the last year.

Leading South West car dealership Vospers has acquired a 9.5 acre site on Phase 2 of Matford Green Business Park in Exeter for a multi-million pound Motor Park development.

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is holding an open day to recruit more nurses.

The Trust is looking for experienced and newly-qualified nurses to bolster its teams at North Devon District Hospital, in community hospitals and supporting people in their homes.
