Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) offers a masterclass in ‘stitching with style’ at their first mending workshop for local sewing beginners and enthusiasts.

The event, run by the DAA retail team, aims to educate people about the positive impact that extending the life of much-loved garments have on the planet and inspire their supporters to learn new mending skills. This will help to reduce the amount of pre-loved garments that might usually be sent for recycling whilst increasing funds for the life-saving charity.

A young person from Exeter who has completed his Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), wants to connect young people with accessible music groups after being selected as a Youth Ambassador for the charity.

Councillors have approved plans which set out priorities for developing cycling and walking improvements in a number of areas of the county.

Regional housebuilder Allison Homes South West is launching a key workers scheme at its four Devon developments helping those who work in the public sector to get a step onto or move up the property ladder.

The first phase of conservation work on National Trust Killerton’s historic Grade I listed chapel is now complete.

The restoration of the chapel has seen repairs to different elements of the building. The iconic rose window, which was showing signs of decay, has been removed, re-leaded and reinstated.
