Research shows early patient feedback can predict asthma treatment success

A group of South West-based researchers have shown that early improvements in asthma symptoms can help predict how effective treatment will be in the future.

Experts at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, the University of Plymouth, and the University of Exeter used national data to find out if it’s possible to predict how people with severe asthma will respond to medication.

An Exeter student dubbed the ‘Greta Thunberg of Sport’ has been smashing European running records alongside her environmental activism.

At just 19 years old, Innes FitzGerald, a first-year Sport and Exercise Science student at the University of Exeter, has already broken two European U20 records. Her most recent victory was a 15.08 time at the Bristol Track Club 5k where she won the Elite Women's race.

A groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering women through fitness and wellbeing is set to launch in Exeter on 3rd May 2025.

The first cohort of graduates from a UK-first programme in psychedelics will be celebrated when Europe’s largest and longest-running conference on psychedelic comes to Devon this Easter.
