Coffee shop and play kingdom Tickety-Boo in Ottery St Mary has been so successful that a second chef has joined the team.

Trystan Bridgman, 37, has an extensive background in catering, having worked at Deer Park Hotel and Twisted Oak.

Local lad Trystan, who has been cheffing since he left The Kings School, will be working with Head Chef Dave Goldsworthy to bring more new dishes to the coffee shop menu. He said:

“I have known Dave for many years, and previously worked with him at an Italian restaurant.

“When the opportunity came up at Tickety-Boo, I jumped at it. The role gives me the chance to combine all the experience I’ve gained in different catering posts into one.”

Another new face in front of house is Charlotte Vincent, 22. Charlotte is also a former student of The Kings School. She brings with her experience in customer service at Sainsbury’s and working with children at Otter Tots.

“I’m particularly looking forward to running children’s parties at Tickety-Boo,” Charlotte said. “It’s a great venue and all the parties that have been held here so far have been a great success.”

Charlotte will be working with Front of House Manager Zoe Blackmore who has herself made a real mark on the business since taking on the role in October.

Tickety-Boo owner, Stuart Phillips added: “I’m delighted to welcome these two new members of staff to the team.

“With their personalities and skills, they are bringing something even more special to the Tickety-Boo experience.”
