Renaissance Villages celebrated a highly successful launch of their new show homes at Millbrook Village – Exeter’s first luxury retirement village – which were officially opened on Saturday 6th September by TV and radio presenter, Nicki Chapman, who hosts many popular TV programmes including Escape to the Country, the RHS Chelsea Flower and Wanted Down Under.

As expected, a huge number of people attended the long-awaited launch event from 4th to 6th September and the three show homes proved so popular that six similar homes were snapped up immediately.

After celebrating the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony, Nicki took a tour of the luxury cottages and apartments and was shown the 3D model of Millbrook Village by Renaissance Villages’ managing director, Iwan Jones.

Following the launch, Nicki said: “I really enjoyed my visit to Millbrook Village. It was a delightful sunny day and I was glad I could be a part of the launch of the new show homes. It was a pleasure to meet the Renaissance Villages team and talk with prospective homeowners.”

Iwan Jones, Renaissance Villages managing director said: “Our launch event was a fantastic success and everyone was so enthusiastic about the show homes. We knew from the number of enquiries we’d been receiving that the event was going to be well attended and we were so pleased that Nicki Chapman was able to join us. Our guests were very impressed with the high quality finish and tasteful, contemporary interior design. We had lots of positive comments about the light, spacious rooms and the fact that our show homes surpassed their expectations. Many viewers were also interested to find out more about our part-exchange service.”

Millbrook Village is a first of its kind for Exeter, which is not currently home to any other retirement villages. Located in a peaceful setting close to the river and within easy reach of the city centre, the new development will provide a selection of luxuriously appointed two- and three-bedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over 55s. The properties are set within secure, landscaped grounds and centred around a private clubhouse, Springbok Hall, featuring a superb range of country club style facilities, including a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness and health suite, library, medical centre and more. Over 50% of the properties in phase one have already been secured by eager buyers, but further cottages and apartments are available to reserve off-plan, with prices starting from £340,000.
