
Suspicious device found in Exeter
Enquiries are continuing after a suspicious device was found at a property in Exeter.
Police were called at 4.45pm on Tuesday 28 April after reports of a suspicious device in the rear garden of a property in Bramley Avenue, Whipton.
A 50m cordon was put in place with properties evacuated in Bramley Avenue and Laxton Avenue.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit attended to make the device safe.
The cordon was reduced to the rear gardens of Bramley Avenue shortly after 10.30pm and residents were allowed to return to their properties.
