St Leonard's in Exeter has been named as the 20th best place to live in the UK.

The Sunday Times, in association with Zoopla, has ranked the neighbourhood above a number of London boroughs including Marylebone, Mayfair and the South Bank.

Hard data such as schools, crime rates, house prices and transport links were used to compile the list.

And St Leonards was described as 'foodie central' due to the locals' favourites such as Pipers Farm and Gibson's Plaice.

The reviewers said they loved the "classic homes and classy facilities" adding...

"In this fast growing city, St Leonard's remains the place to live if you prefer urban convenience to being near the coast or countryside."
